Sewing Makes My World Go 'Round.

I am pleased to say that I completed a pair of half-bloomers last night in about an hour and a half. They're darling and were a little...devil to make. The sewing was straightforward enough, but this was my first experience with elastic and I had some complications. They kind of match my apron that I made a while back, all lacy and tea-dyed. I hope to wear them to a convention soon, but I'm a bit strapped for cash. Okay, bye.

Hetalia Cosplays and Yummy Chocolates!

I've entered a new fandom and this one is semi-educational! I've fallen in love with Axis Powers Hetalia over the past few weeks, and I'm working on two cosplays from that series: Austria and Lithuania. Both adorable guys that I can actually pull off (I'm too short most of the time to play a dude.) I went shopping for the fabric and I fortunately already had the pattern I needed. I'm using Simplicity's matrix coat patter. (*gigglesnort* Oh, inside joke.)
Moving on to other things, yesterday my mother and I made Earl Grey tea truffles. They're very yummy, but the smell of the caramel centers cooking made me sick. Here's a few pictures for your viewing pleasure:

Thar ye be, loveys! I'm off to wrap prezzies. Ciao!

About Little Miss Adora Batbrat and Nightwish

I was lurking around Youtube and I came across a new video by the ElectroGoth Queen of Youtube, Adora Batbrat! Unfortunately, her cat just died, and I think it hit her pretty hard. Well, she'll be in my prayers. But I think that she is very pretty in an unusual sort of way, what with her eyebrows gone and her hair changing colors faster than your brain can process them. She's always so creative with her make up and such.
This is a link to one of my favorite tutorials that she's done:

On to other things, I have been liking Nightwish for a long time. But now that it is sans Tarja, I haven't been interested in their new music. I've been wanting to explore more of their music, but for some reason, I have this fear of listening to new music. It just seems so tedious. I want to pose a question, though; have you ever been inspired by music to created a craft or fashion? I'd like to get a glimpse into your minds, so comment away, my darlings~! Tah tah for now.

Oh, I just remembered I have a blog...

Oops! Sorry to the four of you who read my little journal, I just haven't had that burst of creative cocaine in quite a while, but I was glancing up at my toolbar and cried a tear. But I'm back. I should probably find a theme for this so I don't just have verbal diarrhea every time I pull up Blogger. It'd be fun to do this with someone else as well. I feel so alone on the Internet! But I bought my BJD! He's an eLUTS Kid Delf that I adopted from a friend and his name is Nicholai.  He's so sweet, but he needs a new wig, not just his wavy pink one *shudders*. My dog is being an obnoxious...Okay, disregard that whole thing. I was talking with L and he suggested I did my blog about crafting, cosplay, and clothing! And, obviously, I want to put my own whimsically dark twist on it. And maybe through in random nerdy outbursts about my fandoms. So yes! My next post will be relating to that! Good bye.
